Bristol Healthcare Trust Pays Out Again Over Wisheart Negligence

The Bristol Royal Infirmary scandal was so serious that there was a public enquiry and in 1998, heart surgeon James Wisheart was struck off the medical register after being found guilty of serious professional misconduct. Recently, another Wisheart victim was awarded £5.4m, after they suffered brain damage and were left paralysed after being operated on by Wisheart.
